Philadelphia, the birthplace of America, receives visitors throughout the year, but the most popular time to visit is during the summer when kids are on break from school and events are scheduled all over the city. Many of the child-friendly attractions such as the science, art, and history museums; the amphibious vehicle tours and the nation's first zoo tend to be crowded with families and children in the warmer months. Fewer people visit during the winter when the weather cools down and some of the tours close for the season. Spring and fall, when the weather is cooler and prices are typically lower, can be nice alternatives to summer and its crowds.
Philadelphia is a historical city where you can learn so much about the history of the U.S. given the role the city played in the founding of the country we know today. Philadelphia is also full of interesting museums, one of the most interesting and in some ways terrifying museums I visited is the Mütter Museum. Here you will see some amazing human and medical oddities. It was pretty scary but very interesting as well. across Philadelphia there are many other interesting museums where you can learn so much about the history of Philadelphia and the founding times of the U.S.
The city itself is very convenient to walk around from one sight to another the main attractions are well marked so a walking tour is pretty easy to do on your own. One of my favorite things to do wherever I go is to find the best food in town and Philadelphia is no exception. My favorite food spot is Reading Terminal Market. This is a calssic market in Philadelphia where you can find all types of cuisine here, anything from Philly Cheesesteaks, Middle Eastern, Thai, Chinese, Greek classic American comfort food and some of the best chocolate in town. There are also fresh fruit and vegatables, meat and seafood as well. It was fun to walk around and try out all of the different food on offer. From Reading Terminal Market, just a short walk away I could also enjoy some greatChinese food as Philadelphia's Chinatown is just a couple of blocks away.
Another unique location in Philadelphia is the Old City. This is my favorite area to walk around. There are many bars and restaurants around here. I also love the architecture of the old building. This area of Philadelphis represents the old history and culture of the city. If you love photgraphy the Old City area is a wonderful place to get some of the great classic shots of the city. When you are in Philadephia, you cannot miss visiting the Liberty Bell Center at Independence Hall Historical Park. Another iconic sight of Philadelphia is the Love Monument right around the city hall area where you will see a more modern part of Philadelphia.
Last but not least. When you visit Philadephia. You have to have one or preferable a few Philly Cheesesteaks. If you are not so worried about calories, do a taste test and try out some of the better known Philly Cheesesteak places and share with me which one is your favorite or you can check out my Philly Cheesesteak Review on my Philadelphia Episode on YouTube. I love to vist Philadephia once in a while for a great Philly Cheesesteak and to learn more about the history from many of the sights and museums around the city.

Best Season:
I suggest visiting Philadelphia from late Spring throughout the Summer. These are the most pleasant times to enjoy the city.
Philadelphia has a temperate climate with four seasons. The winter can be moderately cold with some snow. Temperatures in January average 39 degrees. Spring is usually cool with scattered showers, while temperatures average 51 degrees in March and 62 degrees in April. The summers are much warmer, with higher humidity and occasional rain. July's average falls in the mid-80s. Autumn starts to cool down a bit, with an average high of 66 degrees and sporadic showers.

Philadelphia is a city of brotherly love in the United States. It is on of the best cities where you can learn about American history from the great museums and historical sites. The Old Town area is one of my favorite parts of the city and you cannot visit Philadelphia without trying a cheesesteak. This is the destination for the museum lover and for those who love to eat the best cheesesteak in the U.S.A.
