Salò
Italy
Best Season:
The best time to visit Salò are from late May and late September because - May has the advantage of flowers and longer days. September is often drier and sunnier. Italy is always a bit crowded during nice weather but May and September/early October are not nearly as crowded as the summer.

Salò - The Hidden Gem Paradise In Nothern Italy
--- Western Europe ---
Salò is a town beautiful town in Lombardy region northern Italy with the longest promenade on the Garda Lake. Salò was rocked by an earthquake many years ago and the planners at that time had incredible foresight and not only rebuilt Salo but also added a promenade on stilts. Salo was the capital of the Fascist Social Republic which for a time was effectively the nominal capital of Italy.
Salò is like a weekend get away for European neighbor hood around Italy. There are many high end boutique hotels which are absolutely beautiful cause of location on top of the hill over looking the lakes. It is also surrounded by green from the hill but yet with a great character of Classy Italian vive. I enjoyed waking up in the morning and sat in front of my hotel room while zipping Latte Macchiato over looking the lake. It was just a breathtaking and a wonderful times to enjoy and relax under mild climate!
Salò has everything to offers as a historical and leisure destination. There are beautiful old town, rich of history, Unique Italian architectures from Roman period, fresh market which I really love. It was authentic, beautiful and interesting. Here in fresh market I found some great hand make bags and great local homemade food product. I was very interested to walk around the market and check out those great food and art craft products. This was so unique from any others market since they are totally local and fresh.
I had a wonderful times walking around historical attraction as well. The architectures from past century here is very unique and difference unlikely any other architectures in some historical old town I have seen before. It made me wonder even more about the history. It was really fun to walk around gorgeous architectures while I could experience so many great food and shops. They are pretty much all around. There are many great restaurants along the lakeside. Here you can enjoy authentic Italian cuisine or even great pizzas. It is really beautiful during the summer which I could sit at the cafe by the lakeside, enjoyed a glass of wine while enjoy the beauty of Salò's lake. This was absolutely TravelChic Luxury Destination!
I also enjoy sometimes being around the lake. It was really beautiful from the lakeside where I could dip my feet into fresh water and enjoy the scenery of beautiful green mountain surrounded the lake. I also enjoy sunbathing under the beautiful weather as well. It was no explanation and all I want was just to sit back and enjoyed this beautiful nature has to offer.
One of my favorite thing ever from this trip. I really love bags and shoes shopping. There are so many beautiful woman shoes, specially any high end shoes that made of leather. They are high quality and very cheek look. Here I could find size that run from very small which I found it hard to find sometimes to get a nice pair of leather shoes that run small size for me. The designs are unique and high end fashion. I was going crazy when I went into shoes stores, jewelry and bags. Here you will find gorgeous fashion stuff that is unique, classy, chic and beyond trendy which I mean something that look great for many occasion and last longer more then just trend of each season.
While I was going insane with shopping stuff. There are restaurants all around here. I usually enjoy pastry wherever I visited, specially in Europe. I love to try out pastry because from difference town. I got to experiences the differences of taste and the creativity. I enjoyed pretty much the pizzas, gelato and sweet pastry. These are must try stuff when you visit Salò. I also love the spaghetti shop where I found so many interesting shape of spaghetti. I bought one of the longest spaghetti I have ever seen in my life. It was very long about 1meter length but fold in half. This super long spaghetti was a great gift from Salò and unlikely to compare with any other souvenir I have got so far. I would say that pretty much everything I have seen from architectures, location of boutique hotel, Food, Shopping and Sightseeing here were phenomenal and one of the greatest luxury destination
Lastly it's quite tricky to travel to Salò I flew here then one way to get to the city is driving so be sure you arrange on car rental. Driving is the best way to get around here or a lot of people choose to at more leisurely pace by ferry or rugula bus service. I suggest driving has more freedom to travel around the city but parking is a little tricky in Salò. You usually have to pay for parking. Starting at the South end of the shoreline you have the marina area with the boats all neatly parked in rows and a very nice wooden walkway over the inlet. Walking further South there are various floral offerings, as well as statues. There are some very attractive buildings leading to the main promenade. This is 100% tourism, but still has an air of Italian elegance about it, with Italians always managing to add to the elegance by managing to look cool even in the height of summer.
